Total rainfall accumulations are forecast to reach 60 to 90 mm, with higher amounts possible locally. Rainfall rates may reach 5 to 10 mm per hour in some locations.
Because the ground remains frozen or saturated and snowpack is present, significant runoff is likely. This may cause:
- Creeks and rivers to rise quickly, potentially exceeding banks
- Erosion along road shoulders and small washouts
- Flooding in areas where water cannot be absorbed or drained

Precipitation will begin as snow before transitioning to a brief period of ice pellets and freezing rain tonight. The system is expected to change to rain by noon Thursday, with heavy rainfall continuing through Friday afternoon.
