Seggiano Recalls Chocolate Covered Torrone Products Due to Undeclared Milk and Soy
Seggiano is recalling two nougat products, Chocolate covered Torrone and Pistachio and Chocolate Covered Torrone, because they contain undeclared milk and soy lecithin.
What Happened
Seggiano has issued a recall for two of its nougat products because they contain milk and soy lecithin which are not declared on the product labels. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, or an allergy to soya.
Which Products Are Affected
The following products are included in this recall:
- Chocolate covered Torrone (125g)
- Pistachio and Chocolate Covered Torrone (125g)
These products were distributed in England.
What You Should Do
Consumers who have purchased the affected products and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, or an allergy to soya, should not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Why This Matters
Undeclared allergens pose a significant health risk to sensitive individuals. The presence of milk and soy lecithin without proper labeling can lead to severe allergic reactions if consumed by those with specific dietary restrictions or allergies.
