The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Blizzard Warning for portions of southwest Wisconsin. This alert is triggered by a second round of heavy snow and strong winds moving through the region.

- Crawford County
- Grant County
- Richland County
What You Should Do
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, ensure you have a winter survival kit with you in your vehicle. If you become stranded, stay with your vehicle. Residents are encouraged to visit 511wi.gov for the latest road conditions.
Expected Conditions
- Snowfall: Additional snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches are expected.
- Wind: Strong winds are forecast to gust as high as 50 mph.
- Visibility: Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility, creating dangerous blizzard conditions.
- Impacts: Travel will be very difficult, and the hazardous conditions are expected to impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds may also bring down tree branches.
Timeline
The Blizzard Warning is effective immediately and remains in effect until 1:00 PM CDT on Monday, March 16. Heavy snow and blizzard conditions are expected to persist overnight into Monday morning.
