Blizzard Warning Issued for South Central and Southeast Wisconsin Through Monday Afternoon

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Blizzard Warning for portions of east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin. This alert indicates that severe winter weather conditions, including falling and blowing snow with strong winds, are expected to create extremely dangerous travel conditions.

- Columbia
- Dodge
- Washington
- Ozaukee
- Iowa
- Dane
- Jefferson

- Green
- Rock
- Walworth
Expected Conditions
Following a brief break in precipitation, heavy snow is expected to move from west to east tonight. Snowfall rates may reach up to 1 inch per hour at times. Total snow accumulations are projected to be between 5 and 10 inches.
Northerly winds ranging from 40 to 45 MPH will combine with the high snowfall rates to produce blizzard conditions. Visibility is expected to drop to less than 1/4 mile due to widespread blowing snow. These conditions are likely to result in downed tree branches and significant hazards for the Monday morning commute.
