Specific locations expected to experience flash flooding include Booneville, Waldron, Paris, Magazine, Subiaco, Scranton, Blue Mountain, Mount Magazine, Midway (Logan County), Sugar Grove, Grayson, Driggs, Carolan, Corley, Ione, Wilkins, Elm Park, and Hon.

Residents are advised to avoid flooded areas. “Turn around, don’t drown” when encountering flooded roads, as most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away from small creeks, streams, and low-lying areas where water can rise rapidly.

As of 5:21 AM CST, between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour. Additional rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected. This heavy precipitation is likely to cause flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses, as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
