The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO has issued a Flood Warning for portions of north central Missouri. The alert was triggered by Doppler radar indicating heavy rain due to thunderstorms, with flooding already ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

The warning covers Carroll and Chariton counties in Missouri. Specific locations that are expected to experience flooding include Bosworth, Mendon, and Triplett.

Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. According to the NWS, between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have already fallen.
