Moderate flooding is forecast for the area. The river stage was measured at 5.6 feet as of 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday. The river is expected to rise above the flood stage of 6.0 feet just after midnight tonight. Forecasters predict the river will continue to rise to a crest of 7.2 feet by early Friday afternoon. At a stage of 7.0 feet, water is expected to cover the north end of Lakeview Drive and reach the foundations of several houses on Steinberger Lake Drive.
