Minor flooding is forecast. The river reached a stage of 8.0 feet as of 9:45 PM EDT Tuesday, which is the established flood stage. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.0 feet just after midnight tonight. Backwater flooding from the Taunton River is expected to cause flooding of lower Purchade Brook in Middleboro.
