The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Flood Warning for Walworth County in southeast Wisconsin. This alert replaces a previous flood advisory and is effective immediately following reports of heavy rainfall in the region.

- Elkhorn
- Delavan
- Lake Geneva
- Williams Bay
- Walworth
- Fontana-On-Geneva Lake
- Darien
- Como
- Pell Lake
- Powers Lake
- Burlington
- Springfield
- Delavan Lake

Residents and travelers in the warned area should take the following safety actions:
- Turn around, don’t drown: Do not attempt to drive through flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
- Avoid rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying or flood-prone locations where flooding is imminent or already occurring.
Expected Conditions
As of 9:22 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain resulting from thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. This excessive rainfall is expected to cause flooding of local waterways and low-lying areas.
