High Wind Warning Issued for Central Indiana; Gusts Up to 60 MPH Expected

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a High Wind Warning for all of central Indiana. This warning is in effect until 8:00 PM EDT this evening. Following the warning, a Wind Advisory will remain in place from 8:00 PM tonight until 8:00 AM EDT Monday.

Expected Conditions

During the High Wind Warning period, south winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph. As the Wind Advisory takes effect later this evening, southwest winds will range from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. A cold front passing through the region tonight will cause wind directions to shift to the west-northwest.
