Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Little River, McCurtain, Bowie, and Red River Counties

The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for portions of southwestern Arkansas, southeastern Oklahoma, and northeastern Texas. The warning is in effect until 4:45 PM CDT on March 15, 2026.
Affected Areas
The following regions are included in the warning area:
- Arkansas: Southwestern Little River County
- Oklahoma: Southeastern McCurtain County
- Texas: Central Bowie County and East Central Red River County
Specific locations impacted include Texarkana, Wake Village, Ashdown, New Boston, Foreman, Nash, Hooks, De Kalb, Red Lick, Wilton, Ogden, Richmond, Leary, Avery, Wallace, Red Bank, Arden, Almont, and Tom.

Residents in the affected areas should seek shelter immediately inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows to avoid injury from flying debris or breaking glass. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail.
Expected Conditions
At 3:50 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was tracked 8 miles north of De Kalb, moving east at 45 mph. Radar indicates the following hazards:
- Wind: Gusts up to 60 mph, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
- Hail: Half dollar size hail (up to 1.25 inches), which is expected to cause damage to vehicles.
