The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Callahan County, east central Taylor County, and southeastern Shackelford County in west central Texas. The warning was issued at 6:22 PM CDT after radar indicated a severe storm moving through the region.

The warning impacts the following geographic regions in west central Texas:
- Northern Callahan County
- East central Taylor County
- Southeastern Shackelford County
Specific locations in the path of the storm include Eastern Abilene, Clyde, Baird, Eula, Moran, and Ibex. The alert also covers Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 290 and 323, McCarty Lake, and US-283 near the Callahan-Shackelford County Line.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Residents are advised to stay away from windows and remain indoors until the threat has passed. Additionally, a Tornado Watch remains in effect for west central Texas until 10:00 PM CDT.

At 6:21 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Eula, moving northeast at 45 mph. The following hazards have been identified:
- Wind: Gusts up to 60 mph are expected, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
- Hail: Quarter-size hail is possible, with damage to vehicles expected.
