Specific locations impacted include Albany, Marianna, Colquitt, Newton, Morgan, Blakely, Dawson, Putney, Donalsonville, Leesburg, Edison, Arlington, Shellman, Leary, Smithville, East Albany, Turner City, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Chattahoochee, and Walker.

For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Residents should remain alert for a possible tornado, as tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado, go at once to a basement or a small central room in a sturdy structure.

As of 5:58 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Plains to near Arlington to Marianna, moving east at 25 mph.
