The National Weather Service in St. Louis has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Calhoun County in southwestern Illinois, southeastern Lincoln County in east central Missouri, and Saint Charles County in east central Missouri. This alert is based on radar-indicated conditions and is effective until 4:30 PM CDT.

The warning impacts the following geographic regions:
- Southwestern Illinois: Southeastern Calhoun County.
- East Central Missouri: Southeastern Lincoln County and Saint Charles County.
Specific locations in the path of the storm include Foristell, New Melle, Flint Hill, Wentzville, Chain of Rocks, Josephville, Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, Dardenne Prairie, Old Monroe, St. Paul, Weldon Spring Heights, Cottleville, Weldon Spring, St. Peters, Harvester, and St. Charles. The warning also covers the First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site and Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 203 and 229.

Residents in the affected areas should seek shelter inside a well-built structure immediately and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds. Because tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms, the NWS advises moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.

As of 3:44 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Innsbrook (approximately 6 miles south of Wright City), moving east at 30 mph. The primary hazard identified is wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Expected impacts include potential damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect from 3:44 PM CDT until 4:30 PM CDT on March 15. A broader Tornado Watch also remains in effect for portions of southwest Illinois and east central Missouri until 8:00 PM CDT.
