The warning covers the following geographic zones:
- Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet (0-20 nm and 20-60 nm offshore)
- Sebastian Inlet to Jupiter Inlet (0-20 nm and 20-60 nm offshore)
Specific locations impacted by these conditions include Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, North Beach, Wabasso Beach, Orchid, and Indian River Shores.
Expected Conditions
As of 6:25 PM EDT, radar tracked a line of showers and isolated lightning storms with strong gusty outflow. This line extended from 31 nautical miles east of Melbourne Beach to 11 nautical miles east of Sebastian Inlet State Park to Roseland, moving southeast at 25 knots.
Primary hazards include:
- Wind gusts of 34 knots or greater
- Suddenly higher waves
- Lightning
- Heavy downpours
