If caught on open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects due to frequent lightning. Mariners should report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service Miami office.

At 1:52 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 30 nm east of Palm Beach to 17 nm east of Ocean Ridge, moving east at 5 knots. Primary hazards include:

• Waterspouts: Possible sudden formation capable of overturning vessels.
• Wind: Gusts of 34 knots or greater.
• Hail: Small hail accumulation possible.
• Seas: Suddenly higher waves and locally hazardous sea conditions.
