The National Weather Service in Green Bay, WI, has issued a Storm Warning (SRW) for Lake Michigan nearshore waters. This alert follows a Gale Watch that remains in effect for the region. The Storm Warning is specifically active from Sunday evening through Monday afternoon.

The warning impacts the Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sheboygan, including:
- Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon Bay, WI
- Sturgeon Bay to Two Rivers, WI
- Two Rivers to Sheboygan, WI
What You Should Do
Mariners are advised to take immediate action to ensure safety. The National Weather Service recommends that mariners remain in port, alter course to avoid the hazardous conditions, and/or secure their vessels for severe weather.
Expected Conditions
For the Storm Warning, north winds of 25 to 35 knots are expected, with gusts reaching approximately 50 knots. Wave heights are forecast to be between 8 and 15 feet.
For the preceding Gale Watch, northeast winds of 20 to 30 knots with gusts up to 45 knots and waves of 10 to 15 feet are possible.
Additionally, heavy snow is expected to result in poor visibility, dropping below one mile at times from late tonight into Monday morning.
