The warning applies to Ashland and Iron Counties. Specific locations included in the warning area are Madeline Island, the Bad River Reservation, and the northwestern Tribal Lands of the Lac du Flambeau Band.

- Wind: Gusts are expected to reach as high as 40 mph.
- Commute Impacts: The hazardous conditions are expected to impact both the Friday evening and Monday morning commutes.

The first phase of the Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening, March 13. The second, more significant phase begins at 1 AM Sunday, March 15, and is scheduled to remain in effect until 1 PM CDT Monday, March 16.
