The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for portions of north-central Minnesota. The alert was issued early Saturday morning and is scheduled to remain in effect through Sunday evening.

The warning specifically impacts the following regions:
- South Cass County
- Crow Wing County
- South Aitkin County
- Tribal Lands of the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake area
Expected Conditions
Heavy snow is expected across the warning area, with total accumulations forecast between 8 and 14 inches. In addition to the heavy snowfall, winds are expected to gust as high as 40 mph. These conditions will likely make travel very difficult to impossible.
