The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, ND, has issued a Winter Storm Warning for portions of southeast North Dakota and west central Minnesota. The alert is officially in effect from 1:00 PM CDT Saturday, March 14, through 7:00 PM CDT Sunday, March 15.

Expected Conditions
Heavy snow and widespread blowing snow are expected throughout the duration of the storm. Total snow accumulations are projected to be between 4 and 6 inches, with localized totals reaching up to 12 inches. Winds are expected to gust as high as 40 mph. These conditions will create significant hazards, including widespread blowing snow that will frequently reduce visibility to below a half mile, making travel dangerous, especially in open country.
