Minor Flood Warning Issued for Suttor River at St Anns in Queensland
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for the Suttor River, with water levels at St Anns expected to exceed the minor flood level of 4.00 meters by late Tuesday.

The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Minor Flood Warning (IDQ20745) for the Suttor River. This is the eighth warning issued for this event, following moderate rainfall last week over parts of the Belyando and Suttor River catchments which caused river level rises in the upper catchment.
Affected Areas
The primary area of concern is the Suttor River at St Anns. The warning also encompasses the Belyando and Suttor Rivers to the Burdekin Falls Dam in Queensland.

Expected Conditions
As flows arrive from upstream, the Suttor River at St Anns is currently recorded at 3.12 meters and is slowly rising. It is expected to exceed the minor flood level of 4.00 meters. Further rises are possible as upstream flows continue to arrive at the location.
Timeline
The warning was issued at 11:41 am AEST on Monday, March 16, 2026. Minor flooding is expected to begin at St Anns from late Tuesday, March 17. The Bureau of Meteorology intends to issue the next update by 12:00 PM AEST on Tuesday.
