The warning covers several geographic regions in Queensland, specifically:
- Daintree River: Including Daintree Village and Bairds.
- Bloomfield River: Including China Camp.
- Mossman River: Including the Mossman township.

Expected Conditions
Moderate to heavy rainfall in the Daintree River catchment since Friday has resulted in significant river level rises.
- Daintree River at Daintree Village: The river was recorded at 7.25 meters and rising at 1:14 pm Sunday, which is above the moderate flood level of 6.00 meters.
- Daintree River at Bairds: The river reached 11.08 meters and was rising as of 2:00 pm Sunday.
- Mossman River at Mossman: The river was at 6.90 meters and falling as of 2:20 pm Sunday.
- Bloomfield River: Elevated river levels are being observed at China Camp.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible for the remainder of Sunday, which may lead to further river level rises.
Timeline
The Daintree River at Daintree Village is expected to remain above the moderate flood level overnight Sunday and into Monday. The Bureau of Meteorology will continue to monitor the situation and expects to issue the next warning update by 10:00 AM AEST on Monday, 16 March 2026.
