Cool Fidget Toy Stress Ball Recalled Due to Serious Ingestion Hazard
Health Canada has issued a recall for the Cool Fidget Toy Stress Ball because its small, powerful magnets pose a life-threatening ingestion risk to children.
What Happened
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the magnets in the Cool Fidget Toy Stress Ball do not meet the performance criteria for small, powerful magnets as set out under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. These magnets can be easily swallowed, posing severe health risks.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall involves the Cool Fidget Toy Stress Ball Fidget Magnet Stones for Adults, also marketed as Magnetic Roller Ball for Craft Office Home Kitchen Refrigerator and Rare Earth Magnets Stress Relief Desk Toy Decoration.
Specific details include:
- Product Description: Sold with 18 magnetic rainbow balls (0.8 inches).
- Model Number: FS0861
- Batch Number: CC2406
- Quantity Sold: Approximately 387 units were sold in Canada.
- Sales Period: The affected products were sold from January 2025 to February 2026.
What You Should Do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled fidget toy and dispose of the product in household waste. To obtain a refund, contact the manufacturer, Shenzhenshi Tengxing Dianzikejimaoyi Co., Ltd., by email at 2295852269@qq.com with proof of disposal.
As of February 28, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. However, the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits these recalled products from being redistributed, sold, or given away.
Why This Matters
When more than one powerful magnet is swallowed in a short period, they can attract one another while moving through the digestive system. This can cause the intestines to twist, creating blockages or tearing the intestinal walls, which are life-threatening injuries.
