Toyota Recalls Camry and Corolla Cross Hybrid Models Due to Fire and Power Loss Risks
Toyota has issued a recall for certain 2025-2026 Camry Hybrid and 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles due to a loose inverter bolt that may cause power loss or a short circuit.
What Happened
Toyota has identified a safety defect involving the inverter assembly in certain hybrid vehicles. A bolt within the inverter assembly may not have been tightened properly during manufacturing. This issue can cause the vehicle to enter a reduced power mode or result in a complete loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, if the bolt becomes loose while the ignition is active, it could cause a short circuit.
