Amazon Recalls Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knives Due to Laceration Hazard
Amazon has recalled approximately 2,840 camping folding pocket knives because the blade may fail to stay secured in the closed position, creating a risk of cuts.
What Happened
Amazon has initiated a recall for its Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knives because the folding mechanism on the blade can fail to remain properly secured in the closed position. This defect poses a laceration hazard to consumers. Amazon has received one report of the blade failing to stay secured, though no injuries have been reported to date.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall involves the Amazon Basics Camping Folding Pocket Knife with a 3.5-inch blade made from black high carbon stainless steel. The knife includes a pocket clip and is identified by model number B0DM5BJK3H.
Approximately 2,840 units are affected. The recall specifically covers products with the following Manufacturing Lot Codes (MLC) printed on the side of the white packaging box:
- C25021766FJO
- C25090466FJO
- C25090566FJO
These knives were sold online at Amazon.com from August 2025 through February 2026 for approximately $3.
What You Should Do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pocket knives. To receive a full refund, owners must register for the recall at https://amazonfoldingkniferecall.expertinquiry.com/. Amazon will provide a prepaid return kit and instructions on how to safely return the knife. Upon receipt of the product, consumers will be issued a full refund to their original payment method or in the form of an Amazon gift card.
