Huaker Magnetic Balls and Rods Sets Recalled Due to Deadly Choking Hazard

What Happened

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of Huaker Magnetic Balls and Rods sets. These toy building sets violate the mandatory federal safety standard for toys because they contain small balls and are intended for children under three years of age. This violation poses a deadly choking hazard to young children. No injuries have been reported to date.

Which Products Are Affected

This recall involves approximately 782 units of the Huaker Magnetic Balls and Rods sets. The sets include 88 pieces and are packaged in a plastic box with a handle. The box is labeled with “Magnetic Sticks” and “Model:20A-13.” There are no identifying marks on the individual magnetic toy pieces.

The products were sold online at Amazon.com from September 2025 through November 2025 for approximately $23. The sets were distributed by Shenzhen Huakechuang Technology Co. Ltd., doing business as Huaker, based in China.

What You Should Do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnetic balls and rods sets and take them away from children. To receive a full refund, consumers are instructed to dispose of the magnetic toy sets and email a photo of the disposed product to Huaker at Huaker-magnetic-balls@outlook.com.

Why This Matters

The recall is critical because the product violates the Small Ball Ban. Small balls in toys intended for children under three years old present a significant risk of being swallowed or inhaled, which can lead to serious internal injury or death from choking.
