JJGoo LED Balloon Lights Recalled Due to Battery Ingestion Hazard

Product Recalls high CPSC · · United States

JJGoo is recalling 3,400 LED balloon lights sold on Amazon because easily accessible button cell batteries pose a risk of serious injury or death to children.

What Happened

Shenzhen Yimu Technology Co., Ltd., doing business as JJGoo, has issued a recall for approximately 3,400 LED balloon lights. The products violate mandatory federal safety standards for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries. The batteries in these lights are easily accessible to children, posing a significant ingestion hazard. Additionally, the product packaging lacks the mandatory safety warnings required by Reese’s Law.

Which Products Are Affected

The recall involves JJGoo-branded submersible LED balloon lights sold in packs of 100. These multi-color, blinking lights are approximately 0.6 inches in diameter and contain preinstalled LR41 batteries. The product packaging is marked with the label “MY1005E-Colorfu1-100.” These items were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2025 through November 2025 for about $23.

What You Should Do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lights and move them to a location that is inaccessible to children. To receive a full refund, consumers must properly dispose of the batteries according to local hazardous waste procedures and throw the balloon lights away. A photo of the discarded product must be sent to JJGoo at JJGooLEDBalloonLightsrecall@outlook.com to confirm the remedy and process the refund.

Why This Matters

When button cell batteries are swallowed, they can cause severe internal chemical burns, serious permanent injury, or death. This recall is intended to prevent accidental ingestion by ensuring products comply with mandatory safety and labeling standards.
