Rolls-Royce Cullinan Recall: Loose Bolts May Compromise Rear Seat Safety
BMW of North America is recalling 102 Rolls-Royce Cullinan vehicles from model years 2020-2026 due to improperly tightened bolts that could damage seat belts.
What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC (Rolls-Royce) has issued a recall for certain Rolls-Royce Cullinan vehicles because critical fixing bolts may not have been properly tightened during assembly. These bolts can loosen over time, which may lead to damage of the left or right rear seat belt webbing. Additionally, the loose bolts could allow the rear backrest to move under pressure from items stored in the luggage compartment.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall affects approximately 102 units of the following vehicle:
- Make/Model: Rolls-Royce Cullinan
- Model Years: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026
- NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V143000
What You Should Do
Owners are advised not to use the rear seats or the luggage compartment until the recall remedy has been completed. Authorized dealers will inspect, tighten, or replace the fixing bolts as necessary, free of charge. Dealers will also inspect the left and right rear seat belts and replace them if damage is found, also at no cost to the owner.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 4, 2026. Owners may contact Rolls-Royce customer service at 1-877-877-3785 for further assistance.
Why This Matters
A damaged seat belt or an unsecured seat back may fail to adequately restrain a seat occupant during a collision. This defect significantly increases the risk of injury to passengers during a crash.
