Volvo Recalls 2025 EX30 Vehicles Due to High Voltage Battery Fire Risk

What Happened

Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) has issued a recall for certain 2025 EX30 vehicles. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the high voltage battery in these vehicles may experience a short circuit and overheat. This recall replaces and expands upon the previous NHTSA recall number 26V001.

The recall affects approximately 189 units of the following vehicle:

What You Should Do

Owners are strongly advised to limit their vehicle’s charge to a maximum of 70% until the recall repair has been completed. Volvo dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the battery modules as necessary, free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on April 21, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Car’s customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Additionally, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on the NHTSA website on February 23, 2026.
