Wanli Tire Corporation Recalls Aptany Eco Sendero M/T2 Tires Due to Sidewall Separation Risk
Wanli Tire Corporation is recalling 638 Aptany Eco Sendero M/T2 tires because the sidewall may separate, potentially leading to tire failure and crashes.
What Happened
Wanli Tire Corporation Limited (Wanli) is recalling certain Aptany Eco Sendero M/T2 tires due to a defect where the sidewall may separate. Because of this issue, the tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, “New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles.”
Which Products Are Affected
The recall involves approximately 638 units of the following product:
- Brand/Model: Aptany Eco Sendero M/T2
- Size: LT265/75R16
What You Should Do
Wanli will reimburse owners for the retail price of the recalled tires and the cost of installing new tires. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on January 21, 2026. Affected consumers may contact Wanli customer service at 1-400-880-0771 for further assistance regarding the reimbursement process.
Why This Matters
Sidewall separation can cause sudden tire failure while the vehicle is in motion. This failure significantly increases the risk of a crash, posing a serious safety hazard to drivers and passengers.
